Co-curriculum
CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS
Personality development is also an important part of School education. Our school endeavours to provide holistic educational experience to our students encompassing aspects physical, spiritual, rational, creative, emotional, and intellectual, and with that objective organises various personality and competency development co-curricular programs throughout the year from an early age and continues them in higher classes. Such programs provide an avenue to our boys and girls to apply whatever skills they learn in their classrooms, labs and other places. As a result, our boys and girls are imbued with high order of socio-cultural competence, and combine eloquence with the depth of knowledge.

TOURS & TREKS
It is often said that travelling is three-fourths education. Travel tends to broaden the horizons, challenges us to grow, brings a new perspective, stimulates the creative impulses, and imparts knowledge of history and language. In view thereof, tours and treks are annually organised to various parts of our country and in our neighbouring countries.
The touring party is accompanied by teachers of our School. Usually the School tour incorporates a trekking component as well. The duration of School tours extends from one week. Every possible care is taken to provide a safe trekking experience to our girls and boys.
Separate tours and treks are organized for different age groups – the senior, middle, junior and sub-juniors. While the senior students head to far away destinations in the hills including international tours of neighbouring countries for a duration ranging from one to two weeks, the junior and sub-juniors have to content themselves with local sight-seeing tours of one or two days duration.

LESSONS IN LIFESKILLS
The School for the organizes programs which expose our boys and girls to very critical training in life. From time to time, experts in their respective fields such as well-being, common illnesses, motivational issues, disaster management, traffic rules, emergency response, rescue and relief, etc. are invited to hold demonstrations and give lectures on the subject matter of their expertise. Our girls and boys are very enthused by such programs and show their wholehearted participation.

SPOKEN ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT
Gyanodaya girls and boys are given an environment of spoken English early on. The staff is English spoken and constantly encourages students to use English as their medium of conversation. It is a very gratifying sight to see young scholars speak in English language. The School regularly organises several co-curricular activities in English language which is highly motivating for them.
